The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, sent a very special greeting to the country's older adults, “to the grandparents and grandmothers of the Homeland”, as he said in the Marcano municipality, in the state of Nueva Esparta, where he made telephone contact with the mobilization in support of their management and the Bolivarian Revolution and in rejection of the United States blockade against Venezuela.

In his speech, he recalled the measures he approved this Wednesday, May 29, on the occasion of the closing of the Congress of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland, in particular the Ministry that will attend to the needs and social policies of this sector of the Venezuelan population.

“To serve them in a special way and to lead public policies. All solidarity with grandparents and grandparents,” he ratified.

He also stated that “Juan Griego, raise the flags of the Fatherland and we are going to shout very loudly at imperialism and the surnames of the oligarchy, the slogan that runs through Venezuela and is already heard in the world: Listen to oligarchs, hear last names, the united people will never be defeated”.

The head of state also greeted the members of the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) and the Board of Directors of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), as well as the Future Movement.

“How are the youth, the women warriors and those fighting men,” she said.
