The application period for the elections of Communal Judges and Justices of the Peace begins on November 25 across the country.

In this regard, the Electoral Commission of the Community Circuit will be responsible for receiving the application forms and then registering the candidates in
the Automated Nomination System.

In addition, the Municipal Electoral Commission will organize and oversee the electoral process in the communal circuits, according to a note from the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).

Until November 28, the Community Councils will be able to elect through assemblies the candidates and candidates for Municipal Justice and Justice of the Peace.

On November 20, the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, announced that elections for Communal Justices of the Peace will be held throughout the country on December 15.

“The constitution and the law oblige us to elect justices of the peace through secret, direct and universal voting. For this reason, 5,000 communal circuits have already been defined, corresponding to 3,643 communes and groups of Community Councils,” Rodríguez said during the installation of the National Electoral Commission.
