The naval commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Alireza Tangsiri, asserted that Iran will not bow its head in the face of pressure from the United States to resume talks on the Persian nation's nuclear program.

According to the publication of the RT website, the senior official indicated that although Tehran has no intention of unleashing a war, it will respond firmly to any attack that threatens national interests or its people.

In that regard, Tangsiri rejected the recent ultimatum of US President Donald Trump, “I am not aware of Trump's message, nor am I interested in analyzing it (...) I listen to his threats, observe his actions and prepare to counter them.”

He also assured that Iran has the capacity to attack all enemy bases, “wherever they are” and warned that, in the event of an attack against his country “from any geographical point”, Iranian forces will counterattack, finding the “exact place” from which the aggression originated.
