Residents of the community of Petare, Sucre municipality in Miranda state, received for the first time the visit of the Child Jesus of Curiepe, as part of the traditional pilgrimage that takes place in the territorial entity.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, the activity is part of the Mirandina Identity: Heritage Route program , which is carried out in the Venezuelan region for cultural exchange and the promotion of traditions, explained the government's Secretary of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Mariam Martínez.

The image was received on the Great Wall of Petare by members of the Pastors of the Child Jesus, Burras and Burriquitas, as well as devotees and believers, who accompanied him to the Diocesan Sanctuary of the Sweet Name of Jesus, where a Eucharist was held in his name.

In addition, a tour was carried out with the images through the central area of Petare, to conclude with an exchange of knowledge in Sucre Square, where members of the Master Pablo Antonio Rada Music School, La Muchachera de Curiepe participated, as well as cultivators, devotees and heritage representatives of the Brión municipality, who shared their local customs and traditions.

It should be noted that the Child Jesus of Curiepe began his pilgrimage along the coasts of La Guaira and Miranda in the month of September, according to a press release from the Government of Miranda.
