Nicolás Maduro: Venezuela was one of the first countries to rise up against neoliberalism

Venezuela was one of the first countries in the world to stand up against neoliberal policies and the unique thought that imperialism wanted to impose, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“February 27, 1989, February 4, 92, was the time of rebellions against the neoliberal packages, against the International Monetary Fund, against the neocolonial model that neoliberalism wanted to impose, and Venezuela and its people are among the first to rise up against the single thinking model, against arrogance,” said the Head of State during the sixth episode of the “Maduro Podcast”.

In this regard, in the online program where he was accompanied by the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez and the first fighter, Cilia Flores, he assured that this rebellion of the Venezuelan people was the one that opened the doors for Commander Hugo Chávez to rise up in the national political scene.
