Nicaragua rejects attempted coup d'etat in Bolivia

The vice-president of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, on behalf of the government and the people of the Central American nation, rejected the coup attempt against the president of Bolivia, Lucho Arce.
“Events that shake us, move us and outrage us all. On behalf of our people and our Government, we speak out, making it clear that we denounce to the world the new coup attempt that is being experienced in Sister Bolivia, where the people are once again shaken their yearnings for tranquility, security, peace and democracy,” Murillo said in a television message.
He also expressed his support for the Government and for the Bolivian people who are building their path of peace every day.
According to what was published by the Xinhua portal, units of the Bolivian Army attacked the main square of the city of La Paz, seat of the Government of Bolivia, an action that has generated rejection from the international community.
