The vice-president of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, condemned this Sunday the sanctions imposed by the United States (USA) against Russian media such as Sputnik and RT, which she praised for their way of transmitting information.
In a letter, Murillo questioned “when will the United States of North America learn that the aggressions they shamelessly call sanctions (as if they had divine powers to distribute punishments) make no more sense than to establish their pretensions as dictators of the world.”
He stressed that “arrogance and arrogance are the dust of defeat for those who think they are gods, being as they are, only clay statues in absolute and pitiful ignorance and frivolity”.
In the letter, the Nicaraguan vice-president recognized the work of the Russian media for “the creative, thinking, illustrative, sensitive and moving way they manage to communicate from soul to soul, from heart to heart.”
Recently, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, announced sanctions against the Russian media group Rossiya Segodnya (the parent company of Sputnik) and its CEO for their participation in alleged covert information operations.
The US State Department tightened working conditions for the group and its subsidiaries, defining their status as “foreign missions”, so they must inform that entity about the personnel working in the North American country and their assets, according to US laws.
