This Wednesday, the Government of Nicaragua, through a statement, condemned the attack on the cemetery in Kerman, Iran, which left at least 103 people dead and more than 140 injured during the ceremony commemorating the fourth anniversary of the assassination of General Qassim Soleimani.

“We strongly condemn this new expression of terrorism that does not contribute anything to the urgent solutions that the human community needs,” said the president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, who signed a letter with his wife, Vice President Rosario Murillo.

In this regard, in the letter addressed to the supreme leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, and his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi, Ortega and Murillo expressed their solidarity with the families and victims of the terrorist attack.

“The people of Nicaragua are united in brotherhood with the families of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the fight for a world free of hate, racism and violence, a world that transcends the terrible expressions of terrorism and perversion,” they emphasized.

It is worth remembering that the first explosion occurred 700 meters from the grave of General Soleimani and the second explosion occurred one kilometer away, around 15:00 local time.
