NGOs for the financing of terrorism

There is increasing
agreement between those who have been carrying out research on the
behavior
of NGOs and their use to finance terrorist events, in other words, they
pay criminals to carry out violent actions such as burning
schools, pharmacies, health centers and even people.
They are present in the funding
of a significant number of
national NGOs, a strategy to direct the action of these organizations
towards political objectives that affect the legitimacy and political stability
of countries' public institutions and, most especially, those of
governments, as is the case of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
For imperial interests, those NGOs that carry out political activity within their countries are part of the North American strategy of destabilizing governments that maintain their political sovereignty, with which it pursues the following objectives:
- Justify the actions of permanent
aggression by the United States against Venezuela.
- Contain Venezuela's influence in the region.
- Divide, conquer and
recover the domination of the region.
- Justify a military
invasion/intervention in Venezuela .
- Apply the doctrine of
“Preventive War” against Venezuela.
- Preventing
Latin American integration.
The silent
work of NGOs in
Venezuela
In the research carried out
by sociologist Gladys Rojas, called
“Metamorphosis of NGOs: The Socio-Political Role of NGOs in the
Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela during the period 1999-2014” at the School of Social Management of the Ministry of Popular Power of Planning, she pointed out that a large part of the
NGOs formed in Venezuela are used by the right to evade legal norms.
As political parties cannot receive funding from
private entities or foreign governments, opposition parties have created these NGOs as an appendix or
financial arm to receive such support.
These seem to be the first
steps taken by the promoters of this type of organization in the national
territory to then legalize their situation in any
North American state to obtain the necessary funding to allow them to carry out
their covert destabilization action. This is documented by the
above-mentioned research, which states the following:
New National
Conscience , Present, Human and Free
Future Foundation,
and SÚMATE were first born as an NGO in Venezuela and years later they were registered in The United States as corporations. In fact, the main
North American agency, the Office of Transition
(USAID/OTI) was created in June 2002 to carry out this strategy and
has awarded more than 50 million dollars to a larger number of 533 NGOs and parties through other related organizations, such as:
- International
Republican Institute (IRI)
- National
Democratic Institute (NDI)
- Freedom
House
- Development Alternatives,
Inc. (GIVE IT)
- PanAmerican Development Foundation
The actions that
these agencies promote are the following:
-
Penetrating communities to promote the American model.
- Infiltration
into revolutionary sectors and movements to create conflicts, exploit problems, weaken forces, promote anti-socialist values.
-
Provoking violent or criminal actions or attitudes.
- Consolidation
of a movement opposed to the construction of socialism.
-
Strategic advice to political parties and NGOs
to build their political platforms and communication strategies.
- Training
of student political leaders and youth sectors to bring
fresh (and controlled) faces to politics.
-
Psychological operations: The use of journalists, media, networks and social
movements to execute planned operations that transmit selected
information and indicators to the Venezuelan people and the
international community in order to influence the emotions, motives,
objective reasoning, and finally, the behavior of governments, organizations, groups and individuals, thus promoting a pro-American and counter-revolutionary agenda.
-
Separatism: formation, funding and strategic support for
separatist or “autonomous” movements with the intention of weakening national unity and
achieving control over regions rich in natural resources. Creation of a regional separatist
movement “The Regional Confederation for Regional Freedom and
Autonomy” (CONFILAR): in the case of Venezuela, the
state of Zulia must be remembered with the operation “Right Course”.
Thus, we see how the support
provided by North American and
European NGOs to NGOs in our
countries is aimed at interests that go beyond aid to
combat poverty, environmental protection and other areas of
assistance, the ultimate interest is economic aid in exchange for cooperation,
in the broad sense, with the American government or its big companies
transnational corporations.
According to data
provided by various national and
international research organizations, it can be estimated that more than 70% of the funding
received by national NGOs carrying out political destabilization activities in the country comes from transnational
corporations and imperial states.
