A commission composed of deputies to the National Assembly, revolutionary militants and representatives of candidates and opposition parties will present, no later than next Friday, a written proposal for a schedule for the execution of the presidential elections scheduled for 2024, said the president of the parliament, Jorge Rodríguez

In this regard, during the installation of a broad day of dialogue for the development of a proposed schedule for the presidential elections of 2024, he noted that this week they will hold meetings with various sectors of the country's political and social life in order to learn about their contributions to developing “a comprehensive proposal that covers all sectors of the country”

“We all call for the peaceful development of the electoral event, as is customary in Venezuela, without foreign interference and with the protection of our sovereignty, our constitution. For Friday, we will hold a meeting in order to land a working document, in consensus, to be presented to the CNE,” he stressed.

In the same way, Rodríguez asked the aforementioned commission, during the development of the proposed schedule, to consider granting all the necessary electoral guarantees so that the participants in the elections have the full confidence to participate in it.

“I would ask that in this schedule we not only keep a date and a few deadlines, but that we also incorporate what has to do with electoral guarantees,” he emphasized while asking that the general principles that should govern the electoral event and the principles of sovereignty be added so that no foreign power intends to interfere with them.
