The Office of the United Nations (UN) for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) for Syria indicated that more than 880,000 people have been victims of forced displacement since the beginning of the terrorist offensive on November 27 and that it ended with the fall of President Bashar al Assad.
OCHA gave the number of displaced persons in a report published in the last few hours and added that clashes continue to occur in some parts of Syria, while civil departments and public service institutions have resumed operations in most of the Syrian territory.
The UN agency noted that over the clashes, air strikes in the provinces of southern Syria have caused damage to homes, health facilities and affected a bridge in the province of Homs, a port in Latakia and a main water pipe in the city of Alhamediya, in the province of Quneitra.
The UN reported fighting between terrorist groups in the province of Aleppo, especially in the capital and in the districts of Manbech and Ain Al Arab, as well as in Deir al Zur, where they have damaged a bridge and cut off routes between seven villages and the western bank of the Euphrates River.
