During October 2023, Israel declared a blockade of the Palestinian enclave and began attacking its territory, as well as parts of Lebanon and Syria.

On December 1, 2023, the Army of the Jewish country accused Hamas of violating the truce that had been in effect since November 24 and announced that it would resume fighting in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian authorities blamed the United States for the resumption of Israeli aggression.
