The President of Venezuela and Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Monday the popular - military - police union to guarantee the defense of the sovereignty of the Homeland.

From the Miraflores Palace, where he hosted the march for the 16th anniversary of the Bolivarian National Militia, the head of state recalled that the country is divided into eight regions of comprehensive defense, “which have to work hand in hand, in a perfect way so that the country's defense is based on the territorial capacity of each region to maintain social, political, military and economic control, the peace of the Republic in the circumstances that touch us”.

He said that this is a preventive concept. “If you want peace, get ready to defend peace, to defend the territory. If you want peace, be prepared to guarantee it, as we have guaranteed it. Every historic moment is a starting point, a point of arrival,” he said.

In this regard, he pointed out that “we are reaping what we have managed to sow in these years of forging (...) today we have a better moralized, better prepared Bolivarian National Armed Force and we have a Bolivarian National Militia ready for everything, especially for victory. But it's harvest time and from the harvest we must get the best seeds because it's time to sow too.”

The Dignitary indicated that it is time to “sow values in the family, in the community, in the youth, in the generations to come so that the harvest is uninterrupted, perpetual, perpetual harvest of Bolivarianism, sovereignty, dignity and freedom.”

He warned that the “empire is mad and drunk on power; it wants to impose a new economic, cultural, political and military hegemony on the world. It's a project to colonize the world. They openly say so. They want to colonize the world, they want to colonize Venezuela.”

In this regard, he emphasized that “it is a struggle between their colonial and enslaving ambitions and their backside, their homeland vendors, their Sayona against all of Venezuela, that we want freedom, dignity, honor, peace and prosperity, that we want the right to the future. That's the fight.”
