National President: The People went from being massacred to a constituent to build this path

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that the Venezuelan people, with the strength of Commander Hugo Chávez, went from rebellion and massacre to a time of hope.

“If February 27 was lacerating and painful, on February 4, a torch was lit to illuminate the road,” he said.

In this regard, he pointed out that “from 1989 to 1999, we went from the massacred rebel people to the constituent people to build this path. He gave the Chávez people a voice, he gave them power.”

This was stated by the head of state, from Simón Bolívar Park, located in Miranda state, during the day he presided to receive from the People and social organizations the documents and proposals of the National Debate of the 7th of September. “Consultation, Debate and Action”.

He assured that the voiceless and massacred people became the leading people. “Who would have thought that we were going to go from a time of massacre and desolation to a time of rebirth.”

For that reason, he stated that the People of Venezuela are “forbidden to forget the massacres, the brutality of last names and the oligarchy when they were in power.”
