Tax collection increased 78% during the first quarter of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

The information was provided in the state of Bolívar, where he led a working day dedicated to the economy from the Venezuelan Corporation of Guiana (CVG), at the Caroní Aluminum Conductors Company (CABELUM).

“We are on the right track because the tax that is collected, a tax that is invested in the 1x10 of Good Governance, in the Great Mission of Venezuela Women, to give credits, in the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, in the Great Mission of Equality Hugo Chávez, in the Great Mission of Grandparents and Grandmothers, in repairing schools, high schools and investing in the economy,” he emphasized.

On the other hand, the head of state specified that between April 2023 and April 2024, non-traditional exports have experienced a continuous growth of 11%.

“We are encouraging non-traditional exports so that Venezuela exports everything it produces. First we satisfy the domestic need and then the surplus is sold to Colombia, to Brazil, to whoever needs it and at a good price, he explained.
