The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, issued instructions to achieve the goal of creating 100,000 Circles of Grandparents and Grandmothers nationwide, in order to advance in two vertices, of the four that make up the Great Mission of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland.

In that sense, he explained that these spaces will bring together two million men and women of the Happy Age, because “our age is the happy age”, and urged that emphasis be placed on the vertex of organizing grandparent circles.

He specified that to date there are “three million 200 thousand registered grandparents and grandmothers, aged 60 and over. They have already reached more than 58,000 grandparent circles, with a view to reaching two million grandparents.”

The instruction was given during a meeting with the grandparents and grandmothers of the Fatherland at the inauguration of the House of Grandparents and Grandmothers, located on Avenida Bolívar, in the parish of La Candelaria in Caracas.

Also as part of another goal, he demanded to achieve one House for Grandparents and Grandmothers per municipality, of which there are 335 nationwide.

“Attention governors, governors, mayors and mayors, these are the priorities, attention to communal circles and communes, put there the construction of the House of Grandfather and Grandmother, of the Municipal Circuit, ” he said.
