National President Rejected Marco Rubio's Statements About Cuban Doctors

The President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro, at the 25th Meeting of the Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA - TCP), rejected the statements made by the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, regarding Cuban doctors.

In this regard, the head of state specified that in the nation “we celebrate the fact that the Barrio Adentro Mission (...) We have first-rate Cuban specialists and doctors in Venezuela,” while highlighting the courage of the island's health professionals.

He also thanked all the governments and peoples of the Caribbean for their firm and forceful response to the Secretary of State of the United States, Marco Rubio, in reaction to his attempt to tarnish the honor and morals of Cuban medicine during his recent failed tour of the region.
