The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured this Thursday, January 30, that “this people are not going to remove neither their surnames nor the oligarchy of political power.”
This was stated at a meeting held with the teams promoting the new generation of Great Missions, regarding the activation of social transformation in Venezuela.
The head of state recalled the elections lost by the Revolution in 2015. “I didn't ignore the results, I didn't hide, I came out the minute to show my face (...) I didn't call on the people to burn, or to violence, I didn't call to ignore the results.”
“I had to speak and I said we lost, we accepted the results and I hope that this opposition knows what it is going to do with the National Assembly and I extend my hand to dialogue,” he recalled.
