National president instructed to strengthen delivery of the CLAP Obrero at the national level

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, instructed to strengthen the delivery of Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP) Workers throughout the country.

“We must strengthen both the territorial CLAP and the workers, so that all the food and protein reach the organized working class,” he ordered while highlighting the actions taken by the Bolivarian Government to guarantee a productive economy.

“We can already say that a new diversified economic model has been born in Venezuela that guarantees its growth,” he said.

In this regard, he stressed that the Bolivarian Government has guaranteed the supply of 100% of the country's domestic market with domestic production, “thanks to the peasants, the peasants and producers of the countryside.”

“We used to import 85%, so 100% is a feat of workers who never stopped and a correct economic policy, which allowed us to stimulate food production,” he explained.

The statement was made at the Miraflores Palace, on the occasion of the nationwide mobilization for the celebration of International Workers' Day and the 12th anniversary of the enactment of the new Organic Law on Labor, Workers and Women, promoted by Commander Hugo Chávez.

“The CLAP, which we increased to 7 million 600 thousand families, are taking place 97% for the first time in Venezuela,” he said.
