The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stated that the inaction of the United Nations (UN), in the case of kidnapping, violation of human rights and torture of the world's migrants, could mean the end of this international body.

During the program Maduro Live De Repente, he estimated that “the torture of migrants could be the end of the UN”.

“I don't want to seem hasty with what I'm saying, hopefully with what's happening in Gaza, in Syria, in Lebanon, what's happening with migration to the United States, and forced disappearance, torture against Venezuelan migrants, it's not the beginning of the end of the United Nations System, today, to open the door to the devil,” he said.

“To the monster of Nazi fascism, again. I know that many people are aspiring to that, they are betting on that,” he lamented.

Despite the current situation, he emphasized that “rest assured that our migrants will return.”

He noted that the open cooperation channel with the United States will allow the return of new migrants in the coming days.

The head of state called for justice in El Salvador, “touch your heart, there are families suffering because there are Venezuelan men, innocent migrant workers who have been kidnapped. They don't want to give out lists of their names, they don't want to let their lawyers visit them.”
