National President enacts Law on the Protection of Social Security Pensions against the Blockade

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro approved the Law for the Protection of Social Security Pensions, in the face of the Imperialist Blockade.

“Signed, approved, published, executed and fulfilled! , for the sake of our grandparents and grandmothers,” said the Head of State.

From the day on the occasion of the launch of the Great Mission Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland, he stressed that the action “is a step in the reconstruction of the protection and social security system contemplated in the Constitution and left to us by Chávez”.

In that regard, he stressed that Venezuela is rebuilding itself from the damage done by sanctions missiles against the country by the North American empire. “I am providing resources for everyone, for a project here, a project there (...) for the maintenance of the country,” he said.

He stressed that with this law, the business community must take a step in the principles of social justice, tax justice and the need for social stability to contribute a significant percentage of the amount of what they pay in real payroll.
