The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, urged the country's five Public Powers to comply to the “maximum with the principles of the Constitution”.

In this regard, during his speech at the Opening of the Judicial Year 2024, he pointed out that the five powers must demand themselves to comply with the Constitution and assume each of the corresponding tasks.

He highlighted the importance of this in this year 2024, which is so significant. Because it is the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Junín de Ayacucho and such a significant year in which we have to assert the living letter, the developed letter, because we are and are going to commemorate in December, and from here and throughout the year, the 25th anniversary of the birth of this Constitution,” he said.

He also recalled that the Constitution of 1999 is the first made and approved by the People in these 200 years of the Republic. “Never before has he called the People to a Constitutional debate, all the Constitutions were made between the elites of the surnames, the economic elites, the political elites, except for the Constitution of 1999,” he said.

For this reason, he reaffirmed that this year is full of great tasks for the whole country.
