The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during the Con Maduro+ program, highlighted the importance of the high average of high school graduates who chose to continue their university studies at national public universities and their desire to maintain free and quality public education.

“In Venezuela, we guarantee the university quota to 100% of high school graduates who graduate because in this country education is a human right and no Milei with a chainsaw is going to come and privatize public education, and I say that to the nine patarucos, who are their imitators in Venezuela,” said the president.

The Head of State, from the Municipal Theater of Caracas, announced the closing of the fairs for study opportunities in the National Entry System, where the Minister for University Education, Sandra Oblitas, confirmed that 75% of high school graduates in 2024 have applied to enter higher education.

The official added that 71% of these students have chosen careers in the areas prioritized according to the productive engines of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda.
