He specified that to date they have received 118 proposals and they hope to continue adding to the modernization of the laws currently in force in this area, giving special emphasis at this stage to the Organic Law on Electoral Processes (LOPE), the Law on Electoral Power, the Law on Political Parties and the open possibility of a Law on financing electoral campaigns, which seeks to ensure that resources that flow for candidates and activities of this nature are marked for transparency.
“There are hundreds of people consulted to date, and we will continue in these days that remain until the final proposals are presented to the plenary of the parliament. It is our purpose that the result for the modernization of the electoral system is the balance of the broadest consensus,” he said.
