National CLAP Day: 9 Years of Battles and Victories

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, declared March 12, 2017, as the National Day of Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP).
The CLAP are a revolutionary initiative of organized Popular Power, which officially began in April 2016 and was implemented by the National Government for the distribution of basic food through the house-to-house delivery modality, which has yielded positive results in the face of the brutal economic war of the political right and economic sectors linked to it.
This mechanism thus confronted the inhuman queues and combated the bachaqueros and smugglers who, under the protection and justification of the bourgeoisie's media companies, practiced the illegal resale at disproportionate prices of essential items of the basic basket that the Bolivarian Government protects with subsidized prices.
President Nicolás Maduro conceives the CLAP as the popular organization necessary to overcome and overcome the economic war carried out by the right, concerned only with returning to power to regain the privileges of the Fourth Republic.
