The collection of the National Bicentennial Reading Plan reached the girls and boys of the Mamá Rosa pedagogical program, of the Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation, as part of the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year with a day of reading and recreational activities focused on the history of Venezuela.

The activity included dramatized readings by the National Book Center (CENAL), with content related to the life, thought and exploits of the Liberator Simon Bolivar and other events of the independence process.

Among the texts presented was “Simon and Nevado”, narrated by the reading promoter Martha González. Through songs, dynamics and oral narration, the participants learned about the relationship between El Libertador and his dog, while addressing values such as loyalty, empathy and freedom.

The National Bicentennial Reading Plan includes six titles dedicated to the career of Simon Bolivar and different milestones in Venezuelan history.

Promotional activities seek to bring these contents closer to new generations through reading and recreational resources.

CENAL, an entity attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, develops these days as part of its actions to promote the reading and approach of girls and boys to content related to Venezuelan history and culture.
