The scientific vessel M.V. Fugro Brasilis arrived in national waters to begin Phase II studies at the Lorán Field, located on the Deltana Platform, as part of actions to promote gas projects in the country, the Ministry of the People's Power of Hydrocarbons reported.

The companies BP Exploration, in partnership with UCC Oil and Gas Holding and XRG, carry out these investigations under the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, through the ministerial portfolio, with the purpose of obtaining information on the energy potential of the marine area and advancing production.

For 45 continuous days, the on-board team will collect technical data from the seabed that will serve as a basis for the safe design of future production platforms and gas pipelines, ensuring the viability of operations and the required infrastructure in the area.

To ensure work safety, a technical team from the ministry will remain on the vessel monitoring compliance with current industrial and environmental regulations, ensuring that operations are carried out to the required standards and protecting the environment for the expected time.
