From the Tiuna El Fuerte Cultural Park, located in the parish of El Valle, in Caracas, young muralists transmit their discontent and injustice through their art, which becomes an act of resistance, with the expressions of Venezuelan migrants kidnapped in El Salvador.
This was stated by posting a video on the social network Instagram, where several muralists stated that “there are masons, barbers, delivery people, kitchen assistants, cooks, chefs, refrigeration technicians, singers, entrepreneurs, artists. There is everything as Venezuela is and we are waiting for all of them.”
They highlight that throughout history this art has been a powerful vehicle for expressing discontent and fighting against injustice.
On this occasion, the youth of Caracas dedicated the mural to Venezuelans unjustly detained in the Central American country, deported by the United States government.
“I think it's incredible that they are giving visibility to injustices like this and that it is through art, much better; they can't imagine everything that is going on outside, they are unjustly deprived of their freedom, but with the faith that they will get out of there,” said a young passerby in these cultural spaces in the capital city.
