MP: UN Mission Report attacks Venezuelan institutions again

Through a statement
from the Public Mystery (MP), the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek
William Saabr, rejected the report presented by the so-called Fact-Finding Mission
on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which once again
attacks Venezuelan institutions.
In this
regard, it is condemned that this mission presents biased,
incontrovertible information, based on anonymous testimonies, interpreted on the basis of its
prejudices and without details or evidence to allow its review.
The MP's letter stated that “this mechanism was created in 2019
to attack Venezuela under the mandate of the United States and the deceased Lima Group.”
Below is the full text of the statement:
The so-called Fact-Finding Mission on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has issued a new compendium of attacks on Venezuelan institutions that it intends to submit as a report.
This mechanism was created in 2019 to attack Venezuela under the mandate of the United States and the deceased Lima Group. It was created to boycott the agreements and the work carried out by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights starting in that same year 2019.
Once again,
the members of the misleading Mission present biased,
incontrovertible information, based on anonymous testimonies, interpreted on the basis of their
prejudices and without details or evidence to allow their review.
It is a
report designed and executed to fuel international attacks against
Venezuela, which denies the existence of unilateral coercive measures that
have caused serious damage to the country and its inhabitants; which denies attempts at
coup d'etat and assassination, as well as mercenary operations
carried out with foreign support and continued foreign interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela.
In its
distorted representation of the situation in the country, it also denies the numerous
investigations, charges and accusations carried out by the
Public Prosecutor's Office against officials who have committed human rights violations, as
well as the convictions handed down by the Judiciary against many of them.
The
serious acts of violence that took place after the presidential elections
of July 28 included, in addition to the death of 27 people, 2 of them GNB
officials, caused 195 people injured, of whom 97 are civil servants.
The Public
Ministry recorded 486 attacks on public and
private institutions and assets, including 75 educational centers, 41 health centers, 50
facilities and means of transport, 253
security facilities, 10 electoral centers, 7 headquarters of public
administration institutions, 27 Statues and monuments. ,
13 Commercial Establishments and 10 Headquarters of Political Organizations.
The
attempt to show these serious acts of violence as a peaceful protest
speaks of the ill intention and lack of scruples on the part of the members of the Mission.
It is
important to note that there are no complaints that link
police or military officials as responsible for the deaths and injuries
during the post-election violence. And if presented, it will be investigated as is the daily
practice of our institution.
Finally, this group, which has expired since the
end of 2020 and which has never set foot on the national territory, insists on
creating false scenarios of violation of Human Rights in our country,
while ignoring the will of the Venezuelan people, exercised on July
28, 2024 and later ratified by the Supreme Court of Justice
through the Electoral Chamber on August 22 of this year.
Venezuela is a country that guarantees human rights with a model Constitution in this area and extensive legislation that develops them.
The Public Ministry will remain vigilant to protect Peace, Justice and Human Rights for Venezuelan families.
