Early this Friday morning, one of the best players in national basketball, Garly Sojo, died at 24 years of age.
The Venezuelan Basketball Federation (FVB) reported that the forward was in his home where he suffered an epileptic seizure that ended his life.
According to what was published on the Meridiano web portal, in the next few hours the player's death certificate will be released and the definitive reason for his death will be revealed.
The basketball player was born on September 23, 1999 in Caracas, specifically in the parish of Caricuao. He made his debut in the 2019-2020 season with Los Cocodrilo de Caracas, then became part of the Broncos de Caracas and his last team in the national league Los Gladiadores de Anzoátegui.
He also participated in the national team with Vinotinto in the last Basketball World Cup, which was held in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia this year.
Argentina and Mexico had the privilege of having him in their teams: Captains of Mexico City and Asociación Atlético Quimsa.
