More than 9,000 Palestinians have been kidnapped in the West Bank by Israel

The data from the PPS dates back to the genocidal invasion in October last year

After the kidnapping of at least 30 Palestinians by Israeli military forces in the West Bank was reported, the number of them arbitrarily detained in that territory has risen to 9,655 since October 7, 2023.

The Palestinian Commission for the Affairs of Detainees and Former Detainees and the Society of Palestinian Prisoners (PPS), the occupiers carried out raids in the cities of Ramallah, Jerusalem, Hebron, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, Jenin and Jericho.

“The detainees were subjected to abuse, brutal beatings and threats against their families, in addition to generalized acts of sabotage and destruction of citizens' homes,” Telesur said in a quote from the PPS.

The Commission emphasized that the kidnappings were carried out in the homes of Palestinians or at military checkpoints. He added that they were forced to surrender under pressure.
