More than 7,200 families in nine communes of Nueva Esparta benefited from the deployment of the Venezuela Alimenta Plan, according to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Úlmas Noticias.
The governor of the state, Marisel Velásquez, was present at the event, who reaffirmed her management's commitment to direct distribution in the entity's eleven municipalities.
“We are still deployed in every corner of our beautiful island of Margarita and Coche to ensure that food arrives directly from the producer to the Neo-Spartan household, without intermediaries and at truly supportive prices,” he said.
Regarding the Venezuela Alimenta Plan, he said that “it is a concrete response from the Bolivarian Government to protect our people and consolidate food sovereignty in the region.”
