A batch of 60,000 vaccines, between BCG and Oral Antipolio, arrived in the country to ensure care for children under 5 years of age, Health Minister Magaly Gutierrez said in a message posted on her Telegram channel.
In the above-mentioned message, the minister explained that the vaccines will be distributed in the different health centers that exist in the country, as well as in the outpatient network. Drugs will also be applied to infants through the Firefly Plan, the Goes to School Health Program and the Home-to-Home Days.
He explained that the immunizations arrived in the country as a result of the alliance of the countries of the Bolivarian Alliance of Our America (ALBA), which joins the health plan promoted by President Nicolás Maduro.
“Despite sanctions and attacks against the will of our people, we continue to move forward with effective strategies to guarantee the well-being of Venezuelan women and Venezuelans,” he said.
