More than 600 Justice System officials received training in scientific research

From the facilities of the National Experimental Security University (UNES), a total of 620 members of the organs, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Justice Administration System, participated in the Current Perspective of Scientific Crime Research forum, as part of the actions developed to ensure the optimization of criminal investigation in the country.

This was indicated by the Deputy Minister of the Integrated Criminal Investigation System, C/G Humberto Ramírez, who emphasized the importance of this type of activity to strengthen the knowledge of men and women dedicated to the clarification of punishable acts in the country.

“These types of initiatives are part of the strategic lines contained in Vertex 6 of the Great Peace Quadrants Mission, which seeks to strengthen criminal-criminal investigation bodies,” said the Deputy Minister.

During the activity, the Deputy Minister of Internal Policy and Legal Security, Alana Zuloaga, congratulated this type of initiative and highlighted the importance of strengthening the knowledge and training of those who provide comprehensive care to victims of any type of crime.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace, among the presentations made, there was the participation of Rosa Torres of the Public Ministry (MP), who presented the topic of Investigative Acts; C/J Edwar Pérez, general director of Strategic Design for Criminal Investigation, with Criminalistics in the Light of Police Deontology; and C/G Manolo Benavente, with Ethics in Crime Investigation.

Likewise, Levy Aguaje, senior judge of the Court of Appeals of the Criminal Judicial Circuit of Caracas, and Martín Bracho, director general of Operational Control of Criminal Investigation Bodies, developed the topic of Police Officer and State Responsibility in Criminal Procedure.

For his part, Emil Rico, a member of the Public Defense, closed the cycle of papers with the subject of Effective Judicial Protection, where he took a tour of this fundamental principle of law to guarantee access to justice.
