More than 5 tons of marijuana seized by GNB in Amazonas

A total of 5,86 kilos and 47 grams of marijuana were seized by members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) in two procedures carried out in Caño Caname, Atabapo municipality in the state of Amazonas.
According to a publication in the newspaper Úlmas Noticias, citing military sources, in a first procedure, the GNB located 114 bags in the aforementioned Amazonian barrel, containing 3,397 pots of marijuana, which yielded a total weight of 3,000 kilos and 617 grams of the drug.
In a second procedure carried out in that same Amazon basin, the uniformed men found 1,421 pots of marijuana, weighing 1 thousand kilos 469 grams.
The preliminary reports cited by the media do not refer to people arrested for these seizures.
