The Minister of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality (MINMUJER), Diva Guzmán, reported that to date more than 300 promotion teams have registered through her portfolio page for the installation of the Venezuelan Women's Federation.

In this regard, according to Venezuelan television information, Guzmán indicated that they are currently in the process of forming the promoting teams, an expression of the social and political movements of women in the Bolivarian homeland.

“The idea is that we all continue to move forward with the creation of the promotional teams, so that on March 8, when the Venezuelan Women's Federation is launched, we can have a database that allows us to show the work we have been doing together,” she said.

For her part, the Deputy Minister of International Communication of the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Mercedes Chacín, pointed out that the Venezuelan Women's Federation “is a necessary organization that was created to give strength to women's voices, and thus to unite the struggles of feminist movements against inequality and oppression.”

“The task of the federation will be to integrate into the global feminist movement and to show, beyond our borders, the legal structure for the defense and protection of women by the Venezuelan State,” she said.
