More than 300 people from Apurea benefited from a new ophthalmic surgical day, carried out at the Popular Clinic type I of San Fernando, in the Biruaca municipality of the state of Apure.

According to information published by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the fact was announced by the Minister of Popular Power for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, who explained that “heroes and heroines in white coats” are responsible for visual health through the Miracle Mission.

Meanwhile, in the “Dr. Enrique Tejera” Hospital City, in the municipality of Valencia, in the state of Carabobo, a refraction campaign was carried out for 57 patients through the “Dr. José Manuel Vargas” Ophthalmology Service.

“Refraction is a test performed to determine if a person has an error in this regard and needs lenses to correct their vision. This test can be useful for people over 40 who have problems seeing up close, despite having normal distance vision, and this occurs when light changes speed as it passes from one medium to another, such as from air to water,” VTV explained.
