More than 250,000 people gathered at the grand parade of the Maturín International Carnivals, as reported by the governor of the entity, Ernesto Luna.

Also, during his participation in the Buena Vibra program, he stressed that this holiday, which takes place on Bicentenaria Avenue with Bolívar de Maturín, is “an unprecedented event”.

He highlighted that the Maturín International Carnivals are also already part of the demonym of the people of Monagua.

“To talk about Maturín is to mention the Cathedral, the Mono de Caicara, but also the carnivals,” he stressed and noted that the festival is part of the entity's recreational cultural traditions.

He recalled that last year, the event was held in coordination with the mayor's office, with the participation of more than 150,000 people. Thanks to the planning developed since last year, the color was able to be rescued after the pause of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, he indicated that on this occasion, the Carnavales Felices and Seguros 2024 device, more than six thousand 500 personnel were deployed in the 13 municipalities of the entity, at fixed, itinerant and mixed control points.
