With the purpose of promoting food security and boosting the economy of the state of Cojedes, a new day of the Sovereign Countryside Fair was held this weekend, which benefited 2,563 families in the Ezequiel Zamora municipality. The open-air fair was held in Plaza General Manuel Manrique in San Carlos, offering food combos ranging from 50 to 110 bolivars.

During this deployment, attendees were able to purchase proteins such as chicken, mortadella, eggs and fish, as well as vegetables, dairy products and groceries at a solidarity cost to favor Sancarlean families.

These days are held every 15 days in the nine municipalities of the entity as part of a deployment of the Food Mission team with all affiliated entities such as Mercal, Pdval, Fundaproal, Sunagro and the National Institute of Nutrition (INN).

“Of course, what social programs do hand in hand with the Food Mission, accompanied by our United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), with our Communes, heads of UBCH, community and street workers, and of course with the people of Cojedes... in Cojedes we will continue to move towards the Communal State,” said the director of the Ministry of Food in the region, Yamileth de Barrios.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for this day, which offers products at very low costs.

The day was accompanied by the high commissioner and sponsor of food for the state of Cojedes, G/D Marco Castro Pacheco, who expressed his joy at the participation and enthusiasm of the people in this new initiative. He also congratulated the entire Food Mission team in the entity for making progress in strengthening and promoting food security for the well-being of the Cojedeña population.
