More than 163,000 security personnel will protect seasonal workers during Easter 2024

More than 163,000 police, military and civil protection personnel will be deployed across the country to ensure the protection of the people during the Holy Week holiday, said the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Remigio Ceballos Ichaso.
During the start of the Safe and Happy Holy Week 2024 plan, Ceballos indicated that these men and women will be present in more than 3,000 quadrants of peace throughout our geography.
“We will be on the 18 trunks, more than 10 thousand kilometers of road, in 133 quadrants of road peace. Also, our citizen security agencies, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the Risk Management System, Civil Protection, will be in 256 prioritized temples,” he emphasized while explaining that 3,527 checkpoints will be installed in the country.
The minister also explained that uniformed personnel will be present in 137 monuments and recreational parks, as well as 494 beaches suitable for the full enjoyment of the population.
For this deployment, 3,500 vehicles; 7,000 motorcycles; nine aircraft; 178 boats; 475 ambulances and 1,539 emergency medical posts will be installed.
