More than 1,400 young people passed the first phase of the Venezuelan Astronomy Olympics

A total of 1,440 young people from all over Venezuela were selected to participate in the second phase of the first Venezuelan Astronomy Olympiad (OVA), after successfully passing the test held on March 14 in more than 500 educational institutions in the country.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology, thousands of participating young people, from 23 states of the country as well as the capital city, answered 50 questions, organized in three stages.
The tests were graded by a team of experts from the Ministries of Science and Technology and Education and in turn uploaded to the automated grading system.
The selected young people will now move on to the second phase of the Venezuelan Astronomy Olympics.
The rest of the participants in the first phase will continue their training in physics, mathematics and other related areas.
