This Tuesday, the first International Seminar on Sustainable Pharmacy began in Venezuela, at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Hydrocarbons University, located in the state of Miranda, where more than 120 countries came together to discuss various topics of interest in this area.

At this two-day event, Venezuelan authorities and national and international experts in the field will analyze the environmental impact of drugs, biotechnological tools for sustainable production, ecological effects of drugs, and other topics.

In addition, as reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), working groups will be held with the purpose of strengthening the Venezuelan Pharmaceutical Engine, which allows for an environmentally friendly technological update and to evolve health care for Venezuelans.

This seminar, which is being held for the first time in the country, is part of President Nicolás Maduro's initiatives for the development of a sustainable economic and productive model, aimed at the benefit of the human being and for the protection of our environment.
