More than 10,500 security officials will guard the Divine Shepherdess procession

A contingent that has more than 10,500 officials, including security, police and military personnel, will be responsible for ensuring the safety of property and people during the 166th procession of the Divine Shepherdess, which will take place next Sunday, January 14 in Lara state.

The announcement was made by the commander of the Integral Defense Operational Zone (ZODI) of the central-western state, G/D Rafael Quiroga Parra, who pointed out that these officials belong to the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), Bolivarian National Police (CPNB), state and municipal. In addition, Civil Protection and Disaster Management personnel will be present, as well as city firefighters and health care personnel.

For his part, the Secretary of Public Security and Peace of the government of the entity G/D Martín Maldonado, reported that in the 7.5-kilometer procession, 14 meeting points for lost people will be activated; 42 citizen assistance points; 23 medical assistance and first aid points and seven fire prevention points.

Since the historic year of 1856, the Divine Shepherdess has been following the path that connects Santa Rosa and Barquisimeto, repeating the tradition.
