More
than 100 adults and older adults visited the Los Roques archipelago as
part of the Great Grandparents and Grandmothers Mission.
“Thanks to our president Nicolás Maduro, to our
governor José Alejandro Terán and to all the institutions that have been
integrated into this great event that we have that will be reproduced in every
state of the country,” several grandparents and grandmothers said in an informational contact
with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
It should be noted that this activity is framed in President Nicolás Maduro's
commitment to the elderly to
promote initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of the nation's grandparents and
grandmothers.
Among the measures highlighted
by the National Executive is the creation of a special CLAP for this
segment of the population.
On May 30, the head of state signed
the decree for the creation of the Ministry of Popular Power for
Older Adults.
