A total of 120 patients from Monagas, diagnosed with cataracts, underwent surgery during the first day of ophthalmic surgery.

According to information issued by the Government, this day was held for three consecutive days, explained the entity's Single Health Authority, Yérika Alzolay, who emphasized that the main objective of this operation “was to provide light and color to patients' vision, improve their living conditions and incorporate them into their daily routine.”

“The specialists began the interventions at the Elohim clinic, applying the advanced phacoemulsification technique (removal of cataracts) with the placement of an intraocular lens to restore vision to these patients,” the Government reported.

These clinical procedures are performed in direct response to requests received through the Good Governance 1×10 platform.
