On September 28, a medical-veterinary conference was held at the Ezequiel Zamora Park, known as El Calvario, in Caracas.

During the community deployment, the animals received medical consultation, rabies vaccination, deworming and administration of vitamin complexes. Authorities reported that these actions are part of the National Rabies Vaccination Plan promoted by the National Public Health System to protect pets.

As reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVNL), the sectoral vice-president of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health, Isabel Iturria, and the head of the health ministry, Carlos Alvarado, attended the institutional meeting. Both officials pointed out that the viral disease affecting the central nervous system of mammals is completely preventable through the timely application of health controls.

Mass vaccination represents the fastest way to interrupt the chain of transmission and protect family well-being in the national territory. The Executive reaffirmed its commitment to preventive public health and the comprehensive protection of domestic fauna through these operations.
