Misión Milagro will operate on children with strabismus in Portugiesa

During a day of Miracle Mission, more than 200 children with strabismus and congenital cataracts will be surgically operated on in the Portuguese state.

The action is part of the National Surgical Plan and patients are currently being evaluated for subsequent surgical intervention by a multidisciplinary team.

The clinical evaluation of the cases is carried out at the Baraure Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI), located in the Araure municipality and the operations will take place before the end of the month.

According to a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Health, in Portuguese, more than 600 cases have been resolved by the Miracle Mission, of which 418 correspond to cataract and pterygium operations and more than 250 to eye plastic surgeries that corrected conditions in the eyelids, orbits and tear ducts.
