Miranda security forces ready for the 2024 carnivals

A total of 9,908 security officers will be deployed in Miranda during the 2024 Carnival celebrations, the governor of the entity, Héctor Rodríguez, said Monday.

According to information issued by the government, 5,500 members of the Miranda Police are members of the Miranda Police and the rest belong to the state's firefighters and civil protection personnel.

“We are going to start these Carnivals on Friday, February 9 and we will be deploying the entire work team until Wednesday, the 14th; in addition, we will maintain the security operation until the following weekend,” the president explained.

Rodríguez added that 1,705 vehicle units, including motorcycles, helicopters, drones, boats, 4x4 cars, and others, will be available for the season.

On the other hand, he explained that 39 beaches, 23 basins and rivers and 4 national parks are authorized, as well as beaches, mountains, rivers and other tourist areas in the region.

“These Carnivals we will have music, concerts, recreation for children, young people and older adults, as well as sports,” he said.

Finally, the Governor asserted that for the second year Miranda is the state with the highest hotel occupancy in the entire country, together with the productive, gastronomic and cultural sectors.
