Miranda recorded more than 118 bird species during October Big Day

More than 118 bird species were registered in the Páez
municipality of Miranda state during October Big Day, an
international day of observation that promotes birdwatching and ecotourism.
According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, the regional tourism secretary and president of
Corpomitur, Alexandra Blanco, reported on the environmental deployment, which
has 15 active observation routes in the state.
This initiative brings together the Government of Miranda, the secretariats of Tourism and Ecosocialism, the Mayor's Office, the Rio Verde organization and a territorial brigade of observers, with the purpose of promoting environmental conservation and sustainable development.
