Miranda: 200 tourism promoters are active in carnivals

From Saturday, February 10 to Tuesday, February 13, tourist, recreational and cultural activities will take place in Miranda state, with the support of more than 200 tourism promoters, 1,200 volunteers and 9,908 security officials, the government said in a press release.

According to the publication, the entity's Secretary of Tourism, Lorena Lin, concerts will be held on February 11 and 12 in Rio Chico and Higuerote and on the 13th there will be a costume contest in front of the Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda Park in the municipality of Sucre.

He also noted that for the Miranda Carnival in 2024, tourist routes were set up for seasonal tourists, such as those in El Jarillo, which has seven seasons, and that of the Valles del Tuy, with nine points to travel.

“Through troupes, parades and floats, we are going to promote the rescue of Mirandina's identity. Our children will dress up as the Dancing Devils of Yare and will represent other cultural characters from the region,” he said.

Finally, he called for enjoying the entity's tourist and iconic destinations, as well as the 39 beaches suitable for enjoyment.
